... is the last of the 6 known Viking-age styles that lasted until the beginning of the 12th century. Urnes replaced the mid-11th century from the Ringerike style. Filigree and intertwined animal representations shaped the Urnes style. Eponym of this style was a small Norwegian town on Lustrafjord.
