Hood Cucullus, Wool

Since the Middle Ages, the "Gugel" is a favorite piece of clothing, which in the 14th century has made it into the aristocracy. It was often decorated, worn in bright colors, and used in alternative ways of wearing in the late 14th century, when its use was limited to the simple people. Characteristic of the high medieval Gugel here is also the liripipe which initially hung on the back, was later worn wrapped around the neck.
