These ankle-boots are based on archelogical finds in the northern English city of York, the former Jorvik.
They are deated between the 9th and 10th century AD, a period in which England was divided into several smaller kingdoms.
The anglo-saxon people had to defend innumerable Viking raids.
Many Danes settled in England and York was conquered and ruled for about one hundred years by the northmen.
As these shoes match time and place perfectly, of course you can call them Viking shoes.
The ankle-boots have a very characteristic closure: Two rolled leather toggle buttons, which could easily replaced by bone or horn toggles.

The sizes are normal but the shape is narrow, especcially at the toes.
We recommend to choose one size larger if you like it to have spaciously or if your feet are wide.

- strong upper leather (approx. 2 mm thick).
- nailed leather sole,approx. 6 mm thick.
- colour: dark-brown.

- available size: 40 - 47.

Shipping time: 7 to 14 Days.
