Thornberg Fenris Pants, Wool




With the Thornberg pants Fenris we have replicated the style of found in Thorsberger Moor pants fragments.

In the archaeological site in Thorsberger Moor, it was the general doctrine, according to a place of worship of the god Donar / Thor in the settlement area of the German tribe of fishing.
Most finds date from the 3rd and 4th century.

The Thornberg pants is therefore a piece of clothing that is unique to the Germanic habitat, and therefore a must for an authentic Germanic or Viking clothing.

Eg. For this basic pattern are still as found in illustrations to the Passio Kiliani pants as among the specimens from Hedeby, which date from the 11th century.

On the dating of the pants, there are different opinions. While the German sock museum assumes a production in the 2nd or 3rd century AD, also the 4th century is often suspected as the creation time.
